Domain Identity: Two-Color Legends, Multicolor Cards, and Domainless Tokens

“Can I put this card in my deck?” always comes down to Domain Identity. The Core Rules define it as a deck attribute decided by your Champion Legend: the domain symbols in the legend’s upper-left corner are your deck’s colors. Based on the official 2026-07-16 CR.

Citations: CR 2026-07-16 §103.1.b(Domain Identity,含 .2–.5)、§134(六領域)、§135.2.e.6.b(無領域卡 [C]→[A])、§176.1(傳奇決定識別)、§185.3.b(token 無領域)、§103.2.c、§103.3.a.1(主牌組/符文牌組限制)

The six domains (CR §134)

Most cards belong to one or more of six Domains, identified by symbols in the lower-right corner (CR 134.1). Each has a color and a text shorthand (CR 134.2): Fury red [R], Calm green [G], Mind blue [B], Body orange [O], Chaos purple [P], Order yellow [Y].

Identity is decided by your legend (CR §103.1.b, §176.1)

Your deck must contain exactly one Champion Legend, placed in the Legend Zone at game start (CR 103.1.a); it dictates the deck’s Domain Identity (CR 103.1.b).

Your deck’s Domain Identity is dictated by the domains of your Champion Legend, shown as symbols in the legend’s upper-left corner in the default frame (CR 103.1.b.2); every card in your deck must abide by it (CR 103.1.b.1).

A card with a single Domain is permitted in the Domain Identity corresponding to the same Domain (CR 103.1.b.3). A card with more than one Domain is permitted only in an identity that contains all of the card’s indicated Domains (CR 103.1.b.4) — a multicolor card needs both colors. Both your Main Deck and Rune Deck are subject to this (CR 103.2.c; 103.3.a.1: rune deck cards must be of your Champion Legend’s Domain Identity).

Some game effects may add cards to your deck irrespective of their Domains; those cards are considered part of your deck’s Domain Identity (CR 103.1.b.5).

How multicolor cards work

A concrete example: with a Calm+Chaos legend, Calm cards, Chaos cards and Calm+Chaos cards are all legal (CR 103.1.b.3/b.4). A Calm+Mind card is not, because your identity does not contain Mind (violating CR 103.1.b.4).

Domainless (colorless)

Tokens have no domains (CR 185.3.b) — Recruit, Sprite, Sand Soldier, Gold gear tokens and friends are all domainless, because they are created by effects rather than included in your deck.

A [C] shorthand on a card with no domain is processed as [A] — power of any domain (CR 135.2.e.6.b) — so domainless cards can still be paid with universal power.

FAQ

My legend is two colors — what can I play?

Your identity contains both of the legend’s domains (CR 103.1.b.2). Single-color cards of either color are legal (CR 103.1.b.3); two-color cards matching both are legal (CR 103.1.b.4); anything touching a third color is not.

Can I put a multicolor card in a single-color deck?

No. A multicolor card is permitted only in an identity containing all of its indicated domains (CR 103.1.b.4) — a single-color identity lacks one.

Does the Rune Deck follow Domain Identity?

Yes. Rune deck cards must be of the Domain Identity of your Champion Legend (CR 103.3.a.1) — runes come only from your legend’s colors.

Do tokens have domains?

No. Tokens are domainless (CR 185.3.b) — e.g. the 1 [M] Recruit, 3 [M] Sprite and Gold gear token (CR 187.1–187.5).

Where do I see a card’s domain?

The card’s domain symbols are in its lower-right corner (CR 134.1); your deck’s identity is the symbols in your legend’s upper-left corner (CR 103.1.b.2).
